Built around 1520, this thatched, former wool merchant's house is joined by an adjacent bakehouse. Both surround a secluded and colourful courtyard garden, ideal for relaxation on sunny days. When not resting in one of four beautifully equipped en suite bedrooms, a guest lounge and an oak-beamed dining room is available. Using only locally-produced foods, each meal is prepared to an extremely high standard. Located between the Dartmoor and Exmoor National Parks, The Old Bakehouse is an excellent base from which to explore the stunning Devon countryside.

The Dorchester Guest House - This Victorian house is a short walk from the seafront, Blue Flag beaches and the town centre. The Minadab Cottage - With spectacular views over Labrador Bay, this exclusive thatched cottage dates back to the 1820s and has 3 stylish, individually decorated rooms. Minadab Cottage in Teignmouth is a tranquil retreat and has been a coastal landmark for the past 200 years. The cottage is 9 miles (14.5 km) from Exeter, 6 miles (9.7 km) from Dartmoor and 5 miles (8 km) from Torquay and Newton Abbott. The original cottage was supposedly built in the shape of a boat, with rooms 'fore and aft' and a rope ladder joining the ground floor to the upper deck - now replaced with modern stairs! Today it has been transformed into a delightful B&B by its owners. Unfortunately, due to the rooms, Minadab Cottage is unable to accommodate very young children.

We offer luxury accommodation in our 6 en suite rooms, 2 of which can be turned into a family room on a bed and breakfast basis. We have a public bar area and a restaurant, and all food served is fresh and locally sourced; the delicious desserts are made on site. We are ideally situated for shopping in Exeter or exploring Dartmoor. We are 10 miles east of Exeter and 10 miles west of Okehampton. There are numerous country walks and places of interest to visit, and the main A30 is easily accessible.
