Jo and Alan offer quality accommodation and excellent value for money. They are very happy to advise you on any walks and have maps to assist you. They can also book you on to tours and make dinner reservations for you at one of the many excellent restaurants in the surrounding area, or beyond. The house is situated opposite Ellerthwaite Park and is a gentle 20-minute walk from Lake Windermere itself.

The White Swan Hotel- The White Swan is now Middlham's finest hotel, in a prominent position overlooking the market square. The hotel has 17 individually furnished en-suite bedrooms and combines a traditional flagstone bar, serving a good range of cask ales and wines by the glass, with a contemporary 60 seat brasserie, serving morning coffee, lunch and dinner daily. Middleham castle overlooks the hotel and the town is famous for its horseracing links and is an ideal base for walkers and visitors to the dale.

Wheyrigg Hall is a family run hotel bar and restaurant set in a rural location. Originally an old farmhouse, the hotel has been converted to provide comfortable accommodation. There is ample car parking and there are two separate function rooms providing seating for fifty and one hundred people so the Wheyrigg Hall is an ideal venue for conferences, weddings or other family celebrations. White Hart Nettlebed- The White Hart is a stylishly refurbished 14th century Country inn, in the picturesque Oxfordshire village of Nettlebed, just outside the thriving Thames side town of Henley. The restaurant has a daily changing menu of Mediterranean and British cooking, including many traditional pub favourites. The ingredients are mostly local and seasonal. The White Hart has 12 individually designed en suite double rooms, 6 of which are in the main building and 6 in the converted stables alongside the inn. There is a cosy bar with a log fire and free Wi-Fi. Near the historic market towns of Wallingford and Abingdon, the White Hart is not far from Reading, Oxford, Ascot and Windsor. The restaurant and bar are not open on Sunday or Public Holiday evenings.

The Minadab Cottage- With spectacular views over Labrador Bay, this exclusive thatched cottage dates back to the 1820s and has 3 stylish, individually decorated rooms. Minadab Cottage in Teignmouth is a tranquil retreat and has been a coastal landmark for the past 200 years. The cottage is 9 miles (14.5 km) from Exeter, 6 miles (9.7 km) from Dartmoor and 5 miles (8 km) from Torquay and Newton Abbott. The original cottage was supposedly built in the shape of a boat, with rooms 'fore and aft' and a rope ladder joining the ground floor to the upper deck - now replaced with modern stairs! Today it has been transformed into a delightful B&B by its owners. Unfortunately, due to the rooms, Minadab Cottage is unable to accommodate very young children.

Oaklands House- The relaxed and friendly Oaklands House has a heated pool, licensed bar, free Wi-Fi, air-conditioned en suite bedrooms and parking. Scenic Brading Downs is a short (uphill) walk away, and fishing on the River Yar is a few metres away. The friendly village pub, The Yarbridge Inn, is just across the road. Rare red squirrels come to the garden to feed - so no pets allowed. Please note that Oaklands is adults only (over 18s).
