A delightful period cottage located in a small courtyard of former artisans cottages, quietly tucked away from the main road that runs through the village of Docking. Just 3 miles inland from the coast, and with great local facilities, Weaver's Cottage offers the best of both worlds.
Dating from the 1880s, this traditional brick and flint Norfolk cottage is comfortably furnished throughout, benefits from high ceilings, and has a home-from-home relaxing appeal. Belonging to a local artist, the cottage features many of the owner's stunning artworks on the walls. On the ground floor you will find a charming dual aspect bright, spacious sitting/dining room with a large feature brick fireplace with open fire grate, a new Freeview television, and french doors opening to a small courtyard. Take the opportunity to open the doors on warm days and bring the outside in, or choose to take a sunny seat at the table outside. The country-style kitchen has a range cooker, backed by colourful tiles, and a doorway opening to a second courtyard garden at the front of the cottage. Beyond the kitchen is the bathroom and a separate cloakroom. From the entrance hallway, take the stairs to a half landing and then up to the first floor where there are three bedrooms; king-size, double and single (with trundle bed below). In addition to the two courtyards, the cottage also has the benefit of a 'secret' garden to enjoy which, in true Norfolk style, is found at the rear of neighbouring properties. A quiet space to sit, the garden overlooks a paddock, home to one or two local ponies.
Weaver's Cottage offers comfort, character and charm, is a great holiday base for both families and friends to enjoy, and perfectly positioned for getting out and about exploring the joys and beauty of both rural and coastal North Norfolk.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Duvets and pillows are a mix of hypoallergenic and feather. If the trundle bed is required, please request on booking.
