Built in 1810, this classical coastal hideaway is a magical getaway for up to eight guests. The highlight of the Watch House is, of course, the magnificent views of the ocean, which can be admired from any room. It has one of the best headland views in the South West, and the large windows throughout the property mean you can really make the most of this unique location throughout your stay.
The house itself has certainly been designed with its coastal location in mind. The sitting room is positioned on the first floor, to really make the most of those spectacular views. Meanwhile, the clapper board walls, Cornish stone exteriors and all manner of unique trinkets and decorations mean you can enjoy the coastal feel throughout the house.
With four bedrooms and two bathrooms, there’s plenty of room for everyone inside the Watch House. One of the bedrooms, with twin beds, is located in the loft space, making it a lovely ‘den’ for older children and teenagers. Meanwhile, the exposed stone, wooden doors and beautiful oak floors give the house a charming, traditional feel, as does the cosy wood burning stove in the sitting room. The small but attractive kitchen has everything you need to treat everyone to a delicious meal… or why not step outside to stoke up the barbecue and make the most of the private gardens?
If you venture out, you’ll find the sandy beach (complete with rock pools) just a two-minute stroll away. The beautiful traditional village of Coverack is also within easy reach, with its many cafes, bistros and ice cream shop.
Additional Information: Up to three well behaved dogs are welcome (small additional charge). Cot and highchair available on request.
The Watch House is a dream seaside escape, perfect for drinking in the beauty of the Cornish coastline and relaxing away from the chaos of everyday life. With unmatched, panoramic ocean views and all manner of special and traditional details, this is a holiday cottage with a difference.
