A delightful, brick and flint Norfolk cottage in a superb peaceful location, just a few minutes' walk from the quay and the many local amenities of this popular coastal village. Pretty-as-a-picture, both inside and out, Pear Tree Cottage also has the bonus of its own, very handy private parking place.
Originally two cottages, this charming cottage is now one, and you can't spot the seam! Walk in the front door of this little gem, and you will soon appreciate the very home-from-home, cosy welcome that greets you. Furnished in a traditional style, Pear Tree Cottage has bags of character, with Pamment tiled floors on the ground floor dotted with rugs for warmth underfoot, original beams and some slightly challenging Norfolk winder stairs to the first floor.
On the ground floor is a country-look breakfast kitchen leading through to a conservatory, where you can dine or just take a seat and relax. A door at the other end of the kitchen takes you through to the sitting room, where a wood burning stove is available to light if you want to take off the chill and feel extra cosy. Beyond the sitting room is a rear hallway leading to a shower room. Climb the stairs to the first floor (they are steep and twisty) and you will find a dual aspect twin room, with an en-suite cloakroom, a double room facing to the front of the cottage, and a family bathroom with roll top bath. Outside, a cottage garden to the front and a private courtyard to the rear enables you to catch the sun's rays, whatever the time of day. Both are fully enclosed, so you can relax and not worry, leaving children and four-legged friends to enjoy themselves.
Pear Tree Cottage is a lovely place to retreat to after a day outside enjoying the fresh Norfolk sea air and will appeal to a couple or two, friends and families. If you are looking for coastal living with on-the-doorstep shops, restaurants and cafes, a delicatessen and galleries galore, look no further. From the quay at the bottom of the High Street you can try a spot of crabbing, catch a boat to Blakeney Point to see the seals or walk the coastal path in either direction and take in the fantastic birdlife and scenic coastal views.
Additional Information: Two well-behaved dogs welcome, for a small additional charge. Hypoallergenic duvets and pillows. Access Note: The stairs in the cottage are very steep and there are steps between some of the rooms. Children are welcome, but very young children will need strict supervision when using the stairs. There is no travel cot or high chair provided.
