Hamilton House is situated in the heart of this coastal village and within approximately half a mile's level walk to the wide pebble beach and sea. The house is situated down a private no through road at the end of which starts the level footpath that leads to the beach. The footpath itself is a delightful walk through the fields and alongside a stream before reaching the extensive pebble beach with rock pools, car park, delightful tearooms and a shop. It is an ideal holiday venue for families with small children.
Branscombe is a delightful village with two popular public houses, the Masons Arms and the Fountain Head both serving excellent food. The Old Bakery tea house and gardens are only a 10 minute stroll. There is an ancient parish church that dates back to the 11th century, three National Trust properties, the Old Bakery, the Manor Mill and the Old Forge, and a post office/convenience store.
