Brooke Cottage is quite simply everything you would imagine from a traditional old Norfolk cottage. Grade II listed, and dating from the 17th century, there's a huge inglenook fireplace with a wood burning stove, a twisty, steep winder staircase, original pine latched doors, a lovely brass bed and views over the green of an historical village. The cottage is furnished beautifully with period and comfortable furniture. The doors are low so you may need to remember to duck your head!
The cottage is situated in a peaceful and pretty area on a quiet country lane. The River Stiffkey runs through the village and there is a ford to drive through - although there is an alternative route if you wish! The popular coastal resort of Wells-next-the-Sea with its independent shops, cafes, restaurants, fabulous Quay and stunning beach is a few minutes’ drive away.
Additional Information
Two well behaved dogs welcome (small additional charge). Sorry, there is no WiFi available at Brooke Cottage. Please note: there is renovation work being carried out at the property opposite Brooke Cottage. This should cause minimal disruption but there could be some noise during working hours only.
