Formerly a granary, Yeomans Cottage, attached on one side of a lovely thatched Devon longhouse, is situated at the end of a no-through road at the head of a 12 acre beautiful, hidden valley edged with trees and where a former cider orchard with ornamental trees slopes down to two ponds naturally fed by local springs. The area is a natural habitat for ducks, moorhens, herons and a Preservation Area for the Cirl Bunting. In the distance the heights of Salcombe can be seen, but all that can be heard is the sound of birdsong, a magical and very peaceful spot. The cottage has been well restored, is centrally heated, comfortably furnished with lovely views from the main rooms and is a true hideaway in this secluded hollow, ideal for a small family or couples who want to get away from it all. The sea at North Sands and South Sands is only a mile by footpath and Salcombe a mile further. Walking is spectacular whatever the season, over cliffs, headlands and woodland owned by the National Trust. A welcoming bottle of wine is provided on arrival. Please note: This property is for a maximum of 3 people (including infants).
