A short walk across fields will take you to the idyllic Fry’s Copse – full of bluebells in Spring – and a few steps across the road will find you on Penn Common, owned and managed by The National Trust, where ponies, donkeys, pigs, sheep and cattle are able to roam freely. Orchardside is also conveniently positioned for day trips to surrounding villages, towns and attractions. Paultons Theme Park and Peppa Pig World are just three miles away; Lyndhurst, the capital of the New Forest, with its many restaurants and tearooms, is only a short drive; and the charming market town of Romsey, with its beautiful Norman Abbey, the city of Southampton, with its shopping centre and marina, and the historic cathedral city Salisbury, are all within easy reach.
