From the top of the garden guests can enjoy a panoramic view of Start Bay and a short but steep walk/drive down the hill brings you to Torcross with the popular Start Bay Inn and the beach. Torcross has several cafes and from there it is a pleasant coastal drive to the historic port of Dartmouth. Go the other way to the market town of Kingsbridge and the yacht haven of Salcombe. There are plenty of opportunities for bracing cliff top walks nearby and lots to do in the area with the knowledge that after a hectic day, Old Thatch will welcome you home.
