Set in a private area within the grounds of the beautiful New Forest attraction, Furzey Gardens. This detached thatched house offers all the charm of a secluded New Forest break in the most tranquil and peaceful of settings. All the delights of Furzey Gardens are literally on your doorstep and guests have unlimited free access to the Gardens throughout their stay. Worth £8 per adult and £4.50 per child (4-16yrs) per day. The wonderful seasonal colours of the Gardens become yours to enjoy in peace after the public have left, and Summer evening events are free to attend. Furzey House is a big characterful house with an airy breakfast/dining room (seating for 10), a fitted kitchen, a large lounge with plenty of play space for young visitors and a games room complete with pool table. There is a snug and a second lounge downstairs, opening onto a private garden (set apart from the public gardens) with garden furniture, including dining table and chairs, to enjoy alfresco dining. All six bedrooms have recently been redecorated and new beds installed for comfort. Furzey Gardens is a family friendly garden, with a delightful tea room (seasonal opening hours) serving barista coffee, homemade cakes, sandwiches and afternoon teas. The gardens are full of exciting activities for young children including hunting for our famous ‘fairy doors;, a playground where imagination can run riot, and other structures to explore around the informal winding paths, with alpacas and much more. Please note there is a deep water lake within Furzey Gardens. Guests arriving in late spring and early summer will be amazed by the Azalea and Primula displays. The Summer Cottage Garden is always a delight and autumn brings a blaze of colour with maples and liquid amber collections. Winter heathers add an atmospheric touch to your visit. Minutes from Minstead Village, and only 5 minutes from the M27, Furzey House is a perfect base from which to explore the New Forest or to just relax, unwind in the most beautiful location you can imagine. This is also a fantastic area for those who enjoy walking and cycling, with direct forest access from the house onto miles of interesting New Forest cycle tracks and paths. Please note: The house is set in the tranquil Furzey Gardens which is open to the public and is therefore not suitable for bookings for stag or hen parties or similar types of bookings.
