With stunning views of the surrounding hills, and numerous shops and inns on the doorstep, Keswick Lodge is located in the heart of the vibrant market town of Keswick, which is on the north lakeside of Derwentwater. This 18th-century former coaching inn has been refurbished in a modern style, but with the traditional original character carefully preserved. The lodge offers comfortable en suite accommodation and each room has an LCD flat-screen TV and tea/coffee making facilities. The well-stocked bar offers a selection of wines, spirits, lagers and real ales from Thwaites Brewery. The menu features freshly prepared dishes, made with local produce and seasonal ingredients from Cumbria and the surrounding region. The wholesome, fresh breakfasts gained a Highly Commended accolade in Britain's Best Pub Cooked Breakfast 2009.
